Reading Inspiration Day
On the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Pre-Primary Section of SMM High School & Jr. College celebrated Reading Inspiration Day. The day is observed to instil a lifelong love for reading in children right from early childhood.
Since children aged 3 to 4 years cannot read independently, parents were invited to join this activity. The children came along with their parents and enjoyed reading books together.
The scene was heart warming — all the kids were sitting with their parents and teachers, happily engaged in reading. We could clearly see the joy on their faces.
This activity inspires Jr. K.G. children to grow mentally, emotionally, and psychologically. Dr. Kalam believed that reading improves knowledge and helps build a nation.
And we tried to instil these good values in the children.
