Gudhi Padwa
Gudhi Padwa is celebrated with great joy and happiness across Maharashtra. It falls on the first day of the Chaitra month and marks the beginning of the spring season. The main ritual of the festival is the raising of a Gudhi, which symbolizes victory over evil and is considered a sign of good fortune and prosperity. People decorate their homes with colourful rangolis and participate in processions wearing traditional attire. Similarly, the students of the Pre-Primary Section of SMM High School & JR. College also celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm. The students came dressed in traditional attire, performed the pooja of the Gudhi, and took out a procession. During the procession, the students held banners with messages such as “Eat Healthy Food, Avoid Junk Food” to spread awareness about healthy eating habits and the importance of food. Parents also joined the procession with great excitement and supported the students in this celebration.
