Celebration of Navratri
Navratri is one of the most popular festival celebrated in the month of September or October. It is a nine days celebration where people worship Goddess Durga, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Lakshmi. Goddess Saraswati is considered as the symbol of wisdom, knowledge and art. People offer prayers and worship by reciting the Aarti. They also play Garba . To commemorate this festive mood, the Pre-Primary Section of SMM High School & JR. College students dressed traditionally, worshipped Goddess Durga, Goddess Saraswati and did slate pooja. They had fun playing garba.
