Hindi Diwas
SMM High School & Junior College celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm under the
guidance of Principal Mr. Roshan Wagh Sir. School President Mr. Sudhakar More Sir,
Primary Headmistress Mrs. Uttakarsha Hawaldar, and Pre-Primary Incharge Mrs. Mansi
Gogavale graced the occasion with their presence.
The theme of the celebration was “Bhakti Kaal”, highlighting the rich literary and cultural
heritage of Hindi. The students presented a humorous skit that conveyed the importance of
knowing and using Hindi correctly. Through an entertaining situation involving
misunderstanding of Hindi, the students showed how a lack of knowledge of the language
can lead to embarrassment as well as financial loss.
The programme also included beautiful songs and dances depicting the devotion of Shri
Krishna and Meera Bai. Students presented various dohas of the Bhakti Kaal, explaining the
values and messages conveyed through them.
The entire programme was a wonderful blend of literature, devotion, humour, music and
dance. The students’ confidence, creativity and enthusiastic participation made the
celebration truly memorable. It was indeed a wonderful performance by all the students,
showcasing the beauty and importance of the Hindi language.
